Which appliances need extra care?
Fridges and freezers contain refrigerants and require specialist handling; many electrical items fall under waste electrical and electronic equipment rules. Tell us the make, size and whether the appliance is connected or damaged. We do not accept hazardous items without a lawful specialist arrangement.
What details should you provide?
Send photos showing each appliance, stairs or access route, and its position in the property. Let us know whether it is safely disconnected, whether lift access is available and whether a collection vehicle can park nearby.
Collection and disposal questions
Ask how the appliance will be transferred to an authorised recycler or treatment site and whether additional handling charges apply. Do not assume all appliances can be loaded with ordinary mixed waste.
